Resolved Question: My mum is CONTROLLING ME AHH!?
My mum is so controlling, you don’t understand how bad. These are just A FEW examples: –

- I pick an outfit to wear, my mum says no its horrible and MAKES me wear what she wants me to wear or i arent allowed go out. For example 5 minutes i go i got my outfit ready to go a trip in a few days and she said you don’t have to get dressed up ( it was a top that can be a dress with jeans folded up) and she has MADE me wear this pink top with a pink cardy and some jeans and big fat white trainers, when i said NO way, she said YOUR ARENT LIKE YOUR MATES YOUR NOT A TART SO YOUR NOT WEARING THAT. i stormed off and called her 2 faced cause shes nice to their faces, and she said im not going if i dont wear that. So ive got to, its not horrible but ive planned my outfit for weeks and i cant wear it.

- She knows my bebo password, and goes on my bebo, answers my comments for me, looks through my friends bebo’s. This started because i had bebo logged on and i told her look at this girls picture then she had a look around bebo and one day i said just answer that comment for me and she hasnt stopped ever since.

- If im on msn and laugh she will say whos said something funny and if i tell her she tells me what say back so i just pretend i do then she wants to know the full convo.

- She always moans about my bf’s but i deal with that one.

- She tells me who go out with, she says she knows what they are like from bebo. FREAK.

- If i want go out i tell her every detail but she will be like, right go out for 1 hour then in your bfs for 2 hours then back out then home whenever. I’m like i dont want a schedule!

- She makes me have all these arguements and its really annoying.

SHE PEES ME OFF, why ? how can i stop her? i hate her and she wont leave me. Dont tell me talk to her about it ive tried everyday and she just shouts slams the door and calls me names.
i’m 14, she suggested me to buy the top i wanted to wear + she likes it but she dont want me wear it because i want to basically.

Open Question: Best phone interpreting company to work for?
I am currently a Certified Spanish phone interpreter working from home. Calls are routed to my home and I can log in at my convenience working around my daughter’s schedule. It used to be the perfect job, well now, unfortunately, they want you to either lower your pay rate or you “have” to log in for certain amount of hours straight. I first took this job because of it’s versatility, lowering the pay rate would be ridiculous since my current rate is already an insult. Does anybody know of any other phone interpreting companies that let you log in at your leisure?

*Yes, I have also been an on-site interpreter, which pays 10X better, but for the moment, the working at home option is the plan.

Resolved Question: should I confront him or be worried? I don’t know what to do.?
Ok so my bf of 8 months; he and I plan to marry and he has never showed the ’signs’ of dishonesty but- was in our room tuesday evening and I walked in (from the bathroom) and he was on the phone. I could hear the voice of a girl’s voicemail. I said ‘who’s that?’ and he said ‘I dunno. Her name is ___ . I only know 1 ___ but it doesn’t sound like her. I dunno maybe its one of my buddies gf’s and he’s using it.’ Welllll…I looked at his call log last night and turns out that night he called her again about an hour before he came home. Then yesterday he called her 3 times…and there was 1 missed call from her. The weird thing is, the call times are between 17-40 secs….maybe enough for him to be listening to her voice greeting. Is he just checking if its his friend or is there some other reason he’s dialing her so much? It seems odd to keep calling #1 and if he does know her the fact he isn’t saving her #. I’m very uneasy yet hesitant to admit to snooping and ask him about it especially b/c he doesn’t show other signs of cheating.
What to do? And what do you think?

Open Question: Why does she go out with me if she doesn’t want a relationship?
I’ve known her for several months, and we are very close, but we are just friends. She says because I am Christian, and she’s not, there’s no point in having a relationship, because there’s no future, but we keep going out, even though it means she has to sneak out of the house, because her dad doesn’t approve of me. We do things like…

-She wanted to see the fireworks, but I got called into the office. So a week later, I took her to this nice French restaurant, we got the patio to ourselves, and the chef prepared us a special menu. After dinner, I took her to the beach, and surprised her with our own private fireworks show
-We had plans to just get coffee, but she still got dressed up. Since she did, we ended up having dinner, then a specially prepared dessert. Afterwards, she suggested we head to the bluffs. So we ended up sitting by the lake until 3 am.

She does take her turn paying, and she suggests half the things we do. But she says she doesn’t have feelings for me, but she confuses me because she got upset last week that I haven’t introduced her to any of my other friends, or family; or she’ll keep talking about taking a vacation together, and she’ll pay for the hotel and cruise, I’ll just take care of drinks. We get into fights often, and have had 3 breaks, our last was particularly bad, she became depressed, cried, and even broke the surprise present she had gotten for me, but hadn’t given yet. We’re okay now, but everytime we go out, she’ll remind me in some way how much she cares, and to not leave her again. Now I am planning on taking her to a surprise picnic under the stars, then I wondered…why does she do this if she doesn’t want a relationship? She’s a beautiful model, and guys hit on her all the time, but she turns them down all the time. Do you think I am going anywhere with her or is religion and her parents too much?

Open Question: A 10 point question!!!!???
okay so the following content, is a story, a novel i am writing, the third chapter.
It doesnt matter that you have missed the beginning, if you want to read from start, i will give you the link.

The third chapter:

The hotel, Carlos decided to stop to, was two miles away; I complained, telling him that I couldn’t no more, that my feet were exhausted, so he changed his mind and led me to a dump hotel across the street. It was old and had broken windows but people still entered, only for a night, I guess.

It looked like the club I went to a couple of days ago, it reminded me of the night I almost got raped by a ‘crazy for love’, man, luckily Carlos was there and beat him up, I assume since i had fainted, causing my vision to go blank and miss that part. I had believed that I was actually raped by that man, I believed that he punched Carlos away and came back, but I was wrong. Carlos explained everything the day after, in the hospital.

Images of the man rolling up my skirt, clothes thrown in a pile and pain, flashed threw me, turning into a movie, becoming bigger and bigger every second that passed. Fear raised inside of me; Carlos caught my hand while I was taking steps backwards , almost falling on the street, causing another memory; where the man had caught my hand when I tried to escape, the biggest regret I would ever have, I didn’t have to follow him. I never should have followed him.

“Not this hotel,” I managed to say, my eyes not leaving the building.

“Follow me,” he said like he knew what I was thinking. His gaze was serious, not even a smile on his face; he stroke his hair back and sighed, walking. “You’re never going to forget, are you?”

“I don’t know.”

We walked the two miles Carlos had planned earlier, reaching a rich, fancy hotel with Roman architecture and Greek columns. The interior was more beautiful than the exterior, a painting by Leonardo da Vinci, the Mona Lisa, was in the middle of the wall and a picture of him beside it. A red and gold carpet covered the whole floor and carved wings was on the French doors.

I forgot all about the last hotel, that last incident, last memory; now, a new one was building up, a happy one. I had never been in a rich hotel before because we didn’t have the money to afford it, and because we didn’t need a hotel since we had our own house; which considering now, that house is not mine anymore, I am not a part of my family anymore but the Angel’s family; that’s where I belonged now, with the Angels.

Resolved Question: Wanna be my pen-pal? (Beware, the detail is really long!)?
NOTE: I won’t be choosing a best answer, so please don’t answer to earn points. Please don’t reply saying how stupid I am, I already know that.

A few weeks ago I read a book called ‘10 Things I Hate About Me’ by Randa Abdel-Fattah. This it the blurb:
“There are a lot of things Jamie hates about her life: her dark hair, her dad’s Stone Age Charter of Curfew Rights, her real name, Jamilah Towfeek. For the past three years Jamie has hidden her Lebanese background from everyone at school. It’s only with her email friend John that she can really be herself. But now things are getting complicated: the most popular boy in school is interested in her, but there’s no way he would be if he knew the truth. Then there’s Timothy, the school loner, who for some reason Jamie just can’t stop thinking about. As for John, he seems to have a pretty big secret of his own.”

She was so happy to have someone to talk to, to be herself with. She told John everything and he gave her advice. He also talked about his problems too. He was like her closest friend, her two best friends at school had never been to her house or even known that her real name was Jamilah. They had no idea that she was Lebanese either.

I became pretty jealous of Jamilah. I realized I would love to have someone I have never met and will never meet to tell everything to. There’s a lot of stupid stuff about my personality that I have never told anyone, but I would love to talk about it with someone.

Would you like to be my email- pal??? Even as I type this I know it’s a stupid idea. But I’m going to try.

Here’s a bit about me. My name is Kate, I live in Australia, I’m 14 years old and am in Year 9. I’m a cat person but love dogs too. I love animals and have heaps of pets. I have a little sister and a big half brother. I love reading; my top 3 fav series (in order) are Harry Potter, Twilight Saga (I’m Team Switzerland) and Cherub. The two movies I’m looking forward to this year are HP 6 and New Moon. I watch ‘2 and a Half Men’, ‘Simpsons’ and ‘Neighbours’ regularly. I’ve been learning French at school for 2 and a half years though I’m really bad at it. I like most of my teachers and I’m not popular at school at all. My fav food is probably chocolate, idk.

That was just a random paragraph of the first things about me that popped into my head. I’m a very weird person. I’d prefer someone very close to my age, so we have the same experiences to talk about, and also not living (or lived or about to live) in Australia. In the book, ***SPOILER ALERT*** Timothy turns out to be ‘John’. That is my worst nightmare, to be spilling all my thoughts and secrets to someone that knows me (no offence to anyone who does) but I really don’t want that to happen. Also it would be great to talk to someone overseas. I’ve never traveled out of Australia though I plan to.

There’s nothing else I can write to make me seem less of an idiot, so I’ll leave it here. Only reply if you genuinely want to be my pen pal. Sorry for this REALLY long question.
