Resolved Question: my guy friend is hitting on me?
I was hanging out with one of my guy friends yesterday (I just met him sunday and he’s pretty cool) and we went to downtown near a lakefront and when we were driving around he told me to park at this vacant park. He started saying things about my hands and stuff saying they’re big, and kept trying to compare them… I even think at one point he tried to get it to hold my hand but I shifted it so it wouldn’t work out. This wasn’t what made me thought it but it kinda started making a bulb flash, because I know some girls will do this when they hit on you. (he later made a comment saying “you know what they say about big hands”)
so after that little comment we were talking for awhile just chillin in the car and he said something about “wanna make some gas money?” (I don’t have a job so I get gas money from people who ride with me) and he pulled out 10 bucks and looked down at his crotch, which at first I thought he was joking and played it off as so. But he kept bringing it up for about a half hour (and said he’d pay me 170). I was really put off by it, but kept playing it off as a joke. Luckily he eventually had to go home before it became any worse.
What should I do about this, as I definitely have no interest back… I want to keep a friendship with him but I don’t want this to keep up.
idc if he’s attracted to me or anything, maybe he just thinks I’m giving him these vibes back? (quite a few people think I am that way though even though I’m not when they first meet me)
And yeah I tried kinda showing it through body language and w/e and I think he might have eventually figured it out though because he mentioned something about me acting on the edge
The thing is thought he’s never really been like this before, we’ve hung out a couple times and all and he’s actually a really cool guy

Does the order of sinners in hell go as such:

Murderers, rapists, stay at home dads, infidels…. ?

Will I have the option of having a place overlooking the lake of fire? I love lakefront property.

Is it true that Hell is filled with drunks, sexual deviants, athiests and agnostics? If so, I am excited, sounds like a fun time.

Also, I take it that this guy just skimmed over the part in the bible about over-indulgence and gluttony being sins?

This guy also thinks that hitler was sent by God to send the Jews to force the Jews to Israel, and he thinks Hurricane Katrina was sent by God to clean up the sin in New Orleans. He thinks the catholic church is the whore of babylon. And he believes and preaches a whole lot of other ridiculous, bigoted and all together wacky things.
Christians, do you abide by this mans teachings? Everone, How does it make you feel that this man has such a large following in this country?

Conveyancing Solicitors – Their Legal Jargon Explained

Chartered surveyor

A RICS (Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors) surveyor is legally entitled to carry out surveys on properties.

Completion date

This is when ownership of the property passes from buyer to seller. Usually it is after exchange, though simultaneous exchange and completion is possible.

Contract

The contract sets out the terms of the sale. It will be drawn up by the seller’s solicitor, but will be subject to negotiations before being agreed.

Deposit

Not the same as the deposit you agree to put down with your lender when you take out a mortgage. In the context of conveyancing, the deposit is the amount (typically 5 – 10%) paid by the buyer upon exchange of contracts. Once exchange has taken place the contract becomes legally binding and if the buyer fails to complete they may lose their deposit (unless they signed the contract because they were misled).

Disbursements

This simply means “expenses” and is the term used by solicitors. Disbursements include things like search fees and land registry fees. Ask for disbursements to be included in your quote (most are known in advance) otherwise your bill could be a lot higher than you expect.

Environmental search

A check on records for things like flooding, landfill, waste disposal, contaminated land, etc. that might affect the property.

Exchange

The swapping of signed contracts between buyer and seller. Once exchange has taken place the contract is legally binding and the buyer may lose their deposit they don’t complete (unless they were misled into signing).

Fixtures, fittings and contents form

This is a form prepared by the seller setting out what fixtures and fittings are included in the sale, which ones may be included at a specified price and which ones are negotiable. It may be included in the HIP, but does not have to be and can be given after an offer has been made.

Freehold

When the owner of the property also owns the land on which it is built.

HIP

A HIP or Home Information Pack contains information and search results for the property. HIPs are now compulsory and you are required to have a HIP before you market your property (though some documents can be added within 28 days of putting the property on the market).

Indemnity contribution

Insurance taken out by solicitors to protect their clients in the event of mistakes or fraud when dealing with their case (and usually charged to the client).

Land Registry

The body that records who owns what land. When a property changes hands it’s the buyer’s solicitor’s job to make sure that this transfer is recorded at the Land Registry.

Leasehold

A leaseholder owns the propertyonly for the term of the lease and does not own the land on which it stands, which is owned by the freeholder. Once the lease ends ownership of the property passes back to the leaseholder.

Local authority search

A search of local authority records for things that may affect the property, such as: whether the road the property stands on is maintained by the council; planning applications that may affect the property; possible planning restrictions; and rights of way.

It’s important to check what area the local authority search covers. If it only covers a limited area you may want to ask for additional enquiries.

Mortgage

This is the loan used to buy a property. Because it is linked to the property being bought the property cannot be sold until the mortgage is paid off (either at the end of its term or, if you are selling, by using proceeds from the sale to pay off the balance).

Mortgage deed

The legal charge that gives the mortgage lender rights over the property until the mortgage has been repaid.

Mortgage fees

Fees charged (usually to the client) by their solicitors for acting on behalf of their client’s bank or building society.

Mortgage valuation

This is the valuation survey carried out by your bank or building society before they will lend on a property. It is to make sure that the property is worth at least the amount they are proposing to lend. It should not be confused with a property survey (of which there are different kinds) carried out by a Chartered Surveyor – see Surveys.

Property information form

A question form to filled in by the seller covering basic information about the property. The questions must be answered honestly.

Redemption fee

Banks will often charge a redemption fee for paying off a mortgage early. Sometimes this only applies for a certain number of years after the mortgage is taken out.

Redemption payment

The repayment of the outstanding balance of a mortgage.

SDLT

Stamp Duty Land Tax – see Stamp Duty

Stamp duty

Also known as Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT). This is the tax charged by the government for buying a property and is usually paid by the buyer. The amount varies depending on the value of the property.

Surveys

A Chartered Surveyor will carry out a property survey at the request of the buyer. This can look at various things such as the structure of the building and is value. Depending on the kind of surveys costs vary significantly. (Not the same as the valuation survey carried out by a lender.)

Title deeds

The documents that prove ownership of a property and which set out any rights or obligations affecting the property. If the property is mortgaged then the deeds will be held by the mortgage lender.

Transfer deed

Also known as a TR1, this transfers ownership of the property from the seller to the buyer. It is completed by the buyer’s solicitor following completion and sent to the Land Registry.

Water and drainage search

A search of the properties water and drainage supplies. It will check whether these are connected to the main water supply and sewerage system and how the property is billed for these services.

When you receive the written agreement, make sure once again you understand it. Don’t allow the lender to put in legal terms that you do not comprehend. Either have it changed, or have it explained thoroughly so you can agree to it. Once again, if the broker is unwilling to do this, walk away.
